1.Nuts and Seeds

What Are Nuts?

Nuts are actually fruits. They are defined as dry, single-seeded fruits that have high oil content.

In botany terms, nuts are strictly a particular kind of dry fruit that has a single seed, a hard shell, and a protective husk.

The nuts usually are grown enclosed in a solid outer layer. The process begins when the ovary hardens, ripens, and then turns into a hard shell. Inside the shell, the fruit’s seed, or kernel, develop. Many tree nuts like almonds and hazelnuts form beautiful flowers.
